416 or 515 for my new front loaded horn design? Help Please

I'm working on a new horn design....sort of a hybrid design with a front firing horn reaching a lowish 80Hz, but a large volume back chamber to help drop the LF to 35/40Hz.

See drawing....plus pic of Oris set-up showing similar front loaded section I want to replicate.

Could you kindly advise of the Great Plains Audio 416's or 515's would be best?

    Thanks.

    Andrew

    Sydney.

Do you like blondes or redheads? I prefer the 416B. Your mileage may vary.
Your neighbors called. They like your music.

    Aren't your designs for profit?

Generally yes...but this is my own personal horn set-up...as I'm building a two or three way arrangement for home use.

Are you saying I can't seek help here...?

    Kinds regards

No, I just prefer not to go out of my way to help folks build for profit.

GM, I'm really sorry that's your position.

I work full time for a charity providing homeless people support.

For love and 'fun,' I build some cabinets for Tannoy and Lowther enthusiasts...maybe 2 or 3 a year....if that.

A few years ago, I 'discovered' Altec, and fell in love with them.

I've built ONE Altec product commercially....a Stonehenge box using GPA 604s.

Now, I'm building an ALtec horn system for MYSELF.

I'm hoping my enthusiasm for vintage horns is helpful for Oz....and I host dinners and forums to show horns etc....all out of love and for virtually no financial gain whatsoever.

Again, sorry you've made this decision...as I've valued your insights and technical knowledge from this forum when I've visited.

    Kind regards.

    Andrew

With the lower Fs of the 416, I'm leaning towards this model so it can provide a low bass response, aka Model 19....but want to ensure I'm not giving anything away for the front loading aspect....which is really the primary purpose of this personal project.

    Regards
